CHARCUTERIE, charcuterie boards

Traditional definition: A French word for smoked, dry-cured, or cooked meats. Butcher shops would display these items on a wooden board that became known as a “Charcuterie Board”.

Woodland Heirloom’s definition: A wood board that is used for serving meats, cheeses, breads, and refreshments. Can also be used as a table centerpiece that holds candles or other decorative items placed on it. The boards can have handles, or go handle-less. Every board is natural wood, but finished with a minimum of four coats of FDA approved food-safe finish. Every home needs and deserves a Charcuterie Board from Woodland Heirlooms!
